JDesignerPro User Maintenance
[Back]
The JDP User Maintenance screen allows you maintain the user that can access your system. You may have a unlimited number of users. Each user onle needs one account even if they have access to more than one system. Use User Menu Authorization to decide whether a user has access to a particular menu option. Use User System Authorization to decide whether a user has access to a system. Users are limited to at most 10 separate systems that they can access.
You are maintaining users for all systems when using this screen.
Double-clicking on a user name in the list will load the details for that user and allow you to maintain it.
To create a new user press the New button, enter the details and press Apply. To update a user select it first in the list and then make the necessary changes and press Apply.
This screen allows you to alter the following for each user:
- Username - Up to 20 characters. This is the name that the user uses to log into the system.
- Password - Up to 20 characters. This is the password the user uses to access the system.
- Status - Choose either Active or Inactive to decide whether this user has access or not.
- User Name and Address Details - This information is optional but recommended. A later version of JDP will include email functionality so it is recommended that you keep track of these details now rather than later.
